Just because I was talking about the people over appreciating their work, I will talk about scammers. We have had an experience with it once again, few days ago. I will not mention names, because of the process against those people in progress, but you can always ask me :) Internetize.Me (our company) is giving the percentage to sales people who close the deal. It’s not a secret, the commission is between 10 and 15% and there are other benefits as well. We are signing a contract with the sales person and with the referred company clearly stating everything. We are doing everything by the book and that is not the issue. First of all, guy from New Zealand has given us the referral, with deal closed beneath our standard pricing for that job. We said ok, than he was asking for more money, we said ok, we made contracts for both himself and the company. Company is allegedly based in Florida and is selling cell phones. When we tried Google-ing company’s name, the company was nowhere to be found, not on BBB, Yelp or any public directory, and they should be in business for many years. Ooooook, in a mean time we have sent the contract to the company’s email (and it a yahoo one), and the person offered paying us in full via credit card prior signing the contract, she will send the credit card number via email. Funny business, we are not up to it. So, we send her the Bank of America invoice, for those of you not familiar with the process, once you send the invoice from the Bank of America, one can pay from their portal. It is safe for both parties.
Because, we weren’t getting any feedback (signed contracts) from the sales person located in New Zealand or the ‘client’ from Florida, we have tried reaching cell phone given to us. Surprise, surprise, the phone is not in the possession of the company owner and the guy has never heard of her. Maybe he is involved as well, but that’s not our job. As I see the cell phone company doesn’t have the phone :P So, once I’ve send the email stating there will be no job done unless we can reach client, I’ve got another one from the NZ person stating that the client was not comfortable giving her info on the bank’s portal, but she was more than comfortable giving the credit card info to the total stranger :P I have never got the answer about the phone issue. I told him not to try that again with us and that I will not be answering any other email related to this subject. He started panicking and he pulled a card: ‘...I am not in touch client directly, so not to sure is this a real client.’ With a really bad English for a person who is from NZ. This morning, I’ve got an email from Spanish speaking person, I can see that from the reply, this is that alleged client: ‘Good Afternoon, First company i see doesnt want to take C.C info. Already paid someone else and it was very easy to do so.. It was a bit more expensive but Hey... As a business owner to another when there is a client interested we assist the client and take any kind of payment because money talks and bullshit walks. You guys can keep walking.’ OMG, she or better he is so pissed off because he/she doesn’t want our services :P I don’t understand, no signature, nothing.... As I can see, soon he’ll be walking straight to jail :) but he will find that out soon enough :) If you want to scam somebody to pay him with false credit card number or to pay, let us transfer the money and dispute charges, you should at least do your homework prior to that! We are not doing any job without signing the contract, we were not born yesterday :P
